Dunkirk Man Charged After Police Reportedly Discovered Him Slumped Over Wheel

DUNKIRK – A man is facing several drug charges after New York State Police said they found him slumped over the steering wheel of his BMW Sunday.
Authorities said they were called to the TJ Maxx parking lot for a report of an individual possibly using drugs.
When they arrived, police said they discovered a man identified as Justin Schuk, 36, passed out at the wheel with large amounts of a white powdery substance in plain view.
Police said it took several attempts to wake Schuk up but they were successful in doing so.
Schuk was reportedly evaluated by EMS but refused medical treatment.
A search of his vehicle reportedly revealed 12 grans of heroin, 3.2 grams of cocaine, a straw containing cocaine residue, and four buprenorphine pills in an altoid container for which Schuk allegedly did not have a prescription.
Schuk was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of seventh-degree possessing a controlled substance in a non-original container.
Schuk was placed under arrest and arraigned in the Town of Dunkirk Court.
He is incarcerated in county jail on $50,000 bail.
