Ellicott Police Arrest Wanted Man Following Warrant Check At Kmart

WEST ELLICOTT – A 54-year-old man was arrested at a retail store this week following a warrant check by Ellicott Police. 
Police said they responded to Wegmans for a report of a wanted man on Tuesday.
Authorities said the target of the search, identified as James A. Grant, was wanted by Jamestown Police.  Grant reportedly left the store before police arrived.
Grant was located in Kmart, according to police.
Grant was arraigned in Ellicott Town Court on a charge of first-degree criminal contempt and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
Grant is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court on criminal contempt charges at a later date.
He is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court on April 23rd, at 10:30.
