Ellicott Police Release More Details In Monday’s Vehicle Accident Involving Teen

ELLICOTT – Ellicott Police say the 16-year-old injured in Monday evening’s vehicle accident wasn’t struck, but had fallen off of an SUV that had just pulled out of the driveway and struck his head on the curbing near the corner of Elmwood Avenue and S. Work St.
Dispatch originally stated that the victim was struck.
The victim was reportedly treated on scene by the Falconer Fire Department and starflighted to a Buffalo hospital. Police say they’ve spoken to the victim’s family and learned that the victim may be released from the hospital this week.
The 17-year-old driver was not injured and has reportedly cooperated with authorities.
