Fireman Receives Treatment For Heat Exhaustion After Warren Fire

WARREN – A spokesperson with the City of Warren Fire Department said a fireman that was injured battling a blaze at the Warren Tire Plant Thursday morning was treated for heat exhaustion and later released.

According to officials, by the time firefighters, arrived the roof had collapsed and more than 2,000 gallons of waste oil had ruptured.
“There were 3,000 tires stored in a warehouse that was also involved in a fire,” said the spokesperson. “Tires burn very intensely and are hard to extinguish.”
The investigation is ongoing and as of late Thursday afternoon there is no cause, according to Warren fire officials.
