  1. I am seriously offended with your statement that suicide is a selfish act. On July 6,2016, my son died by suicide. My son was NOT selfish nor was he a drug user or cutter like your associate said. He had an inner pain that he couldn’t deal with any more. Was he thinking about his family? No all he wanted was the torment to stop. Do some research into mental health first before you start making assumptions on people who die by suicide. There will be more….apology not necessary because it isn’t sincere!

  2. As a sister to someone that shot himself, I was upset hearing this story. I can imagine the scene, I don’t need someone to describe it. You compared suicide to the day your son was born, but you didn’t describe the blood at the scene of his birth, so why did you feel the need to describe “he stuck a shotgun in his mouth and pulled the trigger and the blood everywhere” etc. You call suicide selfish, but many that have died from suicide were not selfish, including my brother, HE WAS NOT SELFISH!! Yes, it’s a very traumatic and awful way to lose someone, but hearing comments about them being selfish does not help the survivors of such a loss. Unless you’ve been there, you will never know what they’re feeling or thinking. Maybe do some research and learn to be more sensitive to this issue. I’m glad people are talking about it, but if you think describing the scene after will stop someone from doing it, I wish it was that simple.

  3. Why didn’t you describe the details of the car accident, the kids stole the car, so they chose to drive that car and ended up crashing, so why didn’t you feel the need to talk about the blood at that scene? If they had died, it would be a vivid scene, with blood “all over the windows” true? And you may not have meant to criticize anyone, but saying someone is selfish is critical.
