IDA To Hold Meeting For Approval Of Trillium Lodge Assistance

JAMESTOWN-County Legislator George Borrello told WNYNewsNow Tuesday the county’s Industrial Development Agency will hold a meeting Aug.11th to approve some assistance for reconstruction of the Trillium Lodge in Cherry Creek.

Borrello said the owners decided to push forward with reconstruction after initial hesitation.

“The owners were considering not rebuilding,” Borrello said. “But there was such a groundswell of support within the town that they decided to move forward.”

Borrello said the IDA will approve some sales tax abatement and a few other helpful incentives but that he isn’t completely familiar with the details.

The County Executive candidate said the approval will at least involve the abatement of sales tax on durable equipment.
