JAMESTOWN – City Police have released more details regarding Sunday evening’s car vs. pedestrian accident on Washington Street near Forest Avenue.
According to police, a vehicle traveling south on Washington Street struck a 47-year-old man while he was in the roadway near Forest Avenue.
The man was transported to UPMC Chautauqua, and then later transferred to UPMC Hamot for serious injuries, according to JPD. The victim is reportedly in stable condition.
No other information is available at this time, according to police, and the investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.
The Chautauqua County Accident Reconstruction Team assisted at the scene.
