Jamestown Public Market Opens June 9 With Special Events.

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Public Market kicks off its 2018 season at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9 on Cherry Street.
New to the Market this year is the SPROUTS Club, sponsored by Jamestown Pediatric Associates. The club offers free children’s activities and educatiional offerings. Each child who participates will receive a $2 voucher for fresh fruit and vegetables.
The Mental Health Association of Chautauqua County will celebrate Knitting in Public Day.
At 10:30 a.m. there will be a children’s story time.
At 11 a.m., State Sen. Cathy Young (R), and Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello (R), will take part in a ribbon cutting to honor the Market’s recent Farmers Market Promotion Program Grant.
Noon brings live entertainment by Russell & Hamels Unlimited.
The market accepts credit, debit, and SNAP (food stamps).
