BUFFALO – The Buffalo Sabres have reported that Hall of Fame announcer Rick Jeanneret is “resting and doing well” after he left Saturday’s game on a stretcher.
Jeanneret, who has been the voice of the Sabres since 1971, stopped talking during the early third period of the Sabres win against the Anaheim Ducks.
He was taken to the hospital, leaving the arena on a gurney.
Jeanneret has had battles with throat cancer and has a pacemaker because of slow pulse.
He tweeted several news outlets this morning with the statement “I’m still kicking.”
