JPD: Officers Find Meth, Pipe In Reach Of Three-Year-Old Girl

JAMESTOWN – Officers discovered methamphetamine and a pipe within reach of a three-year-old girl during an investigation on Hazzard Street near Newland Avenue Thursday evening, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Police originally responded to a report of a barefoot, unattended child. The child was reportedly picked up by her grandmother a half-hour after she was found. The mother, Jessica D. Crooks, 31, was reportedly located sleeping in her bedroom.
Crooks was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She is currently awaiting arraignment.

  1. Hasn’t this girl done similar before? I know she’s always in trouble. How does she even have custody of her child?? A famous addict in Jamestown. I blame the courts and it’s system. They allowed her to have custody of a kid. That’s unbelievable!!!! We can do better and as a city we should be very concerned.
