Lawsuit Filed Over NY’s Concealed Carry Law

ALBANY – A New York gun advocacy group is taking on the state’s concealed carry law in federal court.
The argument they make: ordinary citizens should be able to get a license to carry a concealed handgun outside of their home.
If you, currently, want to carry a concealed gun in New York State, you need to get a license and show a special need to protect yourself. That’s what the state rifle and pistol association says is against the second amendment.
The case is in federal court right no. Back in 2012, the court upheld New York’s concealed carry law.
