Mayor Calls For Support Of Small Business Saturday

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Mayor Samuel Teresi proclaimed Saturday, November 25, 2017, as Small Business Saturday and urged community members to support local business.

“The Mayor of Jamestown loves all business, big and small alike,” said Teresi.  “But, there is a special place in my heart for the small locally owned and operated business.”

“These are the folks who are building the community in so many ways,” Teresi said.

The Mayor presented a proclamation to Clifford and Ann Powers of Lander’s Men’s store who have owned and operated the shop since the 1980s.

“Were probably the real definition of it (a mom and pop shop), Cliff said. “All of our kids were brought up in the store, the grandkids worked in the store.”
