Multiple Parties Represented On Warren County Election Ballot

WARREN – Midterm elections offer Warren County voters a wide list of choices when they enter the voting booth this November.
In the race for one of the U.S. Senate seats, Pennsylvanians will choose between Democrat Incumbent Bob Casey Jr. and Republican Lou Barletta. They can also vote for Dale R. Kerns Jr., the Libertarian candidate or Green Party hopeful Neal Taylor Gale.
Casey is an attorney and previously served as Pennsylvania Auditor General from 1997 to 2005 and as Pennsylvania Treasurer from 2005 to 2007. Barletta is a businessman serving as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 11th congressional district since 2011. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as Mayor of Hazleton, Pa.
Kerns is from Ridley Township, Delaware County. He is a project manager for an electrical contractor, where he is responsible for maintaining and managing commercial construction projects for many blue-collar Pennsylvanians.
The Governor’s race pits Democrat Incumbant Tom Wolf and running mate John Fetterman against Republican Scott Wagner and Jeff Bartos. Ken W. Krawchuk and Kathleen S. Smith, Libertarian, and the Green Party’s Paul Glover and Jocolyn Bowser-Bostick.
Wolf grew up in Mt. Wolf, a small south-central Pennsylvania town. He graduated from Dartmouth College (BA), the University of London (MA) and M.I.T. (PhD). During his studies, Tom joined the Peace Corps where he worked on agricultural and irrigation projects for two years in a small rural village in India.
Fetterman grew up in York, and attended Albright College, where he played offensive tackle for the Lions.  He joined Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Wagner, in 2013, launched an unprecedented Senate campaign, and made Pennsylvania history when he won the first ever legislative seat as a write-in candidate.
Bartos was born and raised in Berks County. He owns a contracting company and several real estate acquisition and development companies active in the Greater Philadelphia market, and has previously served as a senior executive at Toll Brothers, Inc. and Mark Group, Inc.
Krawchuk, 65, was born and raised in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia. Krawchuk is the founder and President of Ken Krawchuk & Associates Ltd., a 25-year-old Information Technology consulting firm, and has been a professional computer programmer since 1970. He currently serves as a business architect for the pharmaceutical, insurance, and financial markets.
Smith, who on her Facebook page lists herself as managing the Libertarian Party in Washington County and the Canonsburg Business and Professional Women’s organization, is a former inventory manager at Borders Books. She studied special education at Duquesne University.
Glover is the founder of Ithaca HOURS, a community currency that has transacted millions of dollars value since 1991. A former professor of urban studies at Temple University, he is author of six books, including Hometown Money, Health Democracy, Deep Green Jobs, How to Take Power, and Los Angeles: A History of the Future. His book “A Crime Not a Crisis” details corruption in Pennsylvania’s insurance regulation.
Bowser-Bostick was born in Philadelphia and attended public schools North Philadelphia and Media, PA. She attended Yale and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in biology from Temple University.
The 15th Congressional District race comes down to Democrat Susan Boser and Republican Glenn “GT” Thompson.
The 50th State Senate District race is between Sue Mulvey, a Democrat, and Republican Michele Brooks.
The 65th District State Represntative race offer Republican Kathy Rapp running without opposition.
