New County Sheriff To Be Sworn In For First Time In More Than 20 Years

MAYVILLE – Jim Quattrone, who unseated long-standing Chautauqua County Sheriff Joe Gerace in the 2018 general election, will be sworn in at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1 in a ceremony in the court room of the Gerace Office Building.

Quattrone tallied 23,332 votes to Gerace’s 20,572.

This ceremony is open to the public. Access will be through the main doors of the Gerace Office Building.

  1. Congratulations Sheriff Jim, can’t wait to see you out and about. Stop by some time you’re in the neighborhood and we’ll talk about ” old times ” and have a cup of coffee or ice cold glass of water.
