JAMESTOWN-Teachers and city police officers will play a charitable game of basketball Wednesday evening at McElrath Gymnasium as a fundraiser for the Battle of the Classes according to Jamestown Public School Communications Coordinator Cathy Panebianco.
All game-based proceeds will go towards the Alex George Gregory Foulk Memorial Fund, which supports organizations that battle substance abuse per Panebianco.
Doors open at 6:30 P.M. with a start time of 7. There will also be basket raffles, a three-point competition and other fundraising opportunities.
Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults and are available either from 2017 Student Council members or at the door.
“The public is encouraged and welcome to attend this fun event,” said JHS Class of 2017 Co-Secretary Kelly Emerson. “We hope everyone comes out to support this worthy local charity in our community.”
Concession items will be available with proceeds going towards the JHS After Grad Party.
