Police: Wanted Man Tried To Falsify Identity To Avoid Being Arrested

JAMESTOWN – A wanted man was arrested after allegedly giving police a false name Saturday, according to a news release.
Police said they responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Peterson Street shortly before midnight.
Once the vehicle was located, one of the occupants, later identified as 38-year-old Jason Dale, was taken into custody and charged with having an outstanding warrant, according to police.
Dale reportedly gave officers a false name in an attempt to avoid being arrested.
Additionally, police charged him with second degree criminal impersonation.
He was taken to city jail and eventually to County  Jail where he is being held on $1,000 bail.
