JAMESTOWN – Nearly 2,000 people are without power right now in the Southeast section of the city following an outage at the English Hill substation, the company said.
Reported streets so far are: Ames, King, English, Hedges, Burch, E. Virginia, Bradmar, Camp, Willard and Wescott Streets.
“The outage is as far north as Buffalo and Allen Streets,” said, BPU Spokesperson Becky Robbins.
The substation also feeds between the eastern city line and Foote Ave.
“Our crews are out and they are working on it,” said Robbins. “I do not have an estimated time of repair right now.”
We will monitor this developing story as we receive more details.
