CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY – Two Recovery Walks to promote awareness of addiction issues will be held in Chautauqua County on Sept. 27.
The first walk will be at held at noon, beginning and ending at the Mental Health Organization, 31 Water St., Jamestown.
The second walk will be held at 4 p.m., beginning and ending at 342 Central Ave., Dunkirk.
September is National Recovery Month. These walks are to educate the community, promote awareness, to honor those that have lost their fight with addiction, and to help those who are still fighting addiction, a spokesperson said. The walk events will also include information tables with light refreshments and addiction resources.
The two Recovery Walks are co-sponsored by CASAC, HOPE Chautauqua, Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene, MHA of Chautauqua County, Evergreen Health Services, City of Dunkirk, United Way of Northern Chautauqua County, United Way of Southern Chautauqua County, and Chautauqua Tapestry.
