Red Raider Marching Band Returns Home As Champions

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Public School Red Raider Marching Band returned home Monday after wining its third Large School State Title in four years Sunday at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
Band Director Megan Murray told those in attendance that the strong  community support from the area contributed to the win.
“I could not be prouder of these kids right here,” said Murray. “What makes this extra special is this stuff right here, I don’t think there is any other band in the state that has any kind of support like what we have, we are so lucky.”
The band won with a 89.9 score defeating Horseheads by three points.
