WASHINGTON – A series of debates have been finalized between incumbent Republican Congressman Tom Reed and his Democrat challenger, Tracy Mitrano.
As candidates are in the stretch run for the New York 23rd Congressional District, Reed and Mitrano will meet in three forums between Oct. 24 and Nov. 1.
On Oct. 24, the two will exchange views in a meeting with staff and editors from The Post-Journal and Dunkirk Observer.
On Oct. 30, the two will square off in a forum televised and sponsored by WETM-TV.
And on Nov. 1, the Olean Times Herald will sponsor a debate.
With both candidates heading into the last month or so of campaigning, Reed seems to hold a strong lead against Mitrano, according to Five Thirty Eight.
The web site Five Thirty Eight has Reed ahead 57.5 percent to 42.5 percent. Real Politics does not list the 23rd District as leaning in any direction, and not up for grabs
