Report: Cuomo Pardons Seven People, Including Multiple People Charged In Drug Cases

ALBANY – Seven people who were facing deportation charges, have been pardoned by New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, according to media reports.
Cuomo said the people who received pardons all turned their lives around following minor criminal convictions years ago, according to a report in The Democrat.
The report said the list includes a 57-year-old grandfather who was convicted of drug possession and intoxicated driving nearly two decades ago, and a 53-year-old man battling cancer, who now faces deportation because of a 7-year-old conviction for attempted drug sales.
