Ripley Woman Killed In Car Crash Sunday Evening

RIPLEY – A 22-year-old Ripley woman lost her life at about 8 p.m. Sunday in a two car crash on Route 20.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, Madison Dunlap was travelling westerly when her vehicle collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle driven by Kim Robbins, 58, of Fredonia.
Robbins was transported by ambulance to Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, and then to UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Dunlap was pronounced dead at the scene by Chautauqua County Coroner Richard Mackowiak.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team was on scene until just before midnight and the investigation is continuing. Officials said charges may be pending. Assisting Deputies at the scene were the Westfield Police Department, Ripley Fire Department and the Sheriff’s Accident Reconstruction Scene.
