Serious Collision On Route 60 Leaves One Man With Broken Leg

GERRY – Traffic was at a standstill early Thursday morning on Rt. 60 following a collision producing minor injuries.

Zachary Frazier, 28, was traveling northbound in a 2011 Chevy 4 Door when he crossed over into the southbound lane striking a 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer head-on per New York State Police.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Stephen Falzoi, reportedly attempted to swerve out of the way seconds before the vehicles collided. The tractor-trailer ended up rolling over blocking both lanes of traffic.

Frazier was taken to UPMC/Chautauqua, WCA with a broken leg.

The New York State Department of Transportation closed Rt.60  to Sinclair Dr. for several hours while State Police investigated the accident.

The road reopened shortly before 10:30 am.
