PINE VALLEY – Sheriff Joseph A. Gerace announced Tuesday that the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has established a substation at the Pine Valley Central School.
The substation will be utilized by deputies for completion of reports, interviews and other law enforcement related duties.
In addition to the office space provided by the district, the Sheriff’s Office and Office of Emergency Services will also be able to purchase fuel from the district’s existing system.
Sheriff Gerace stated: “I wish to thank School Superintendent Scott Payne and the Pine Valley Board of Education. This is a win-win agreement for the district and the Sheriff’s Office. It gives deputies a strategic location to work from and at the same time provides a law enforcement presence for the school.”

PV is in Catt. Co. who is paying for this? Chaut. Co. ?
Pine valley is in Chautauqua County. It’s just at the border. I went there my whole school career. South Dayton is in Cattaraugus County but Pine Valley District
Actually pine valley school itself is in Chautauqua county. Some of the areas that the students live in is Cattaraugus.
Pine Valley School is in Chautauqua County not Cattaraugus County
Pine Valley School District serves both Catt and Chaut. County but is located in Chautauqua County. This is office space, not currently in use by the school district, which is being used by the Sheriff Office for paperwork etc.. This will be a great working relationship between the school district and the Sheriff Office. Any fuel used by the Sheriff Office will be reimbursed at the current state rate. The hope being that more law enforcement will be in the area.
The school is not in Catt county.
Pine valley school is located in chaut. County 🙄🙄
The school is on Rt 83 in Chautauqua County.
Lol. Pine Valley school is in chaut. county.
Pine valley is in Chautauqua County
I think that it is a cost productive association, we pay for the school building anyway and if they have the space to house the sherrif’s paper department so muck the better. When budgets are tight it only makes sense to double up resources It is also at the far end of the county and offers a better presence for the sheriffs office,
