SHERMAN – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the owner of five lost calves found loose roaming the westbound lane of I-86 early Tuesday morning.
Sheriff’s deputies said that they responded to calls Tuesday at 3:51 a.m. of several calves on the highway. DeputIes said the calves were injured and apparently fell out of the back of a truck.
Five calves were found in New York and three more in Pennsylvania. Deputies said the five in New York were taken by a local farmer for the time being.
If anyone locates any more calves they are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 753-2131.
