Shot Fired During Home Invasion On Newland Avenue


JAMESTOWN – Police said a man was struck in the head several times, and at least one round was fired from a handgun during a home invasion on Monday morning.
Authorities said, shortly after 2 a.m., they responded to 322 Newland Ave. for a report of an altercation in progress.
A release stated that an unidentified man was struck in the head repeatedly causing a “serious laceration”.
The victim was taken to UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital then transferred to Hamot Medical Center.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have information to come forward.
