Silver Creek Man Arrested Twice After Pair Of Incidents

PORTLAND – A Silver Creek man was recently arrested twice after two separate incidents, including a car crash, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael B. Kleckner, 33, was originally arrested the evening of May 21st, per the Sheriff’s Office. Kleckner was allegedly driving erratically before crashing his vehicle into a field on Prospect Station Road in Portland.
Kleckner and another individual were reportedly fighting before the crash. Kleckner allegedly took the individual’s phone, preventing them from calling 911. A child was reportedly sitting in the back seat during the incident.
Kleckner was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child. He was remanded to County Jail on $2,500 cash/$5,000 property.
Kleckner was arrested, again, Sunday evening at a residence on Angell Road in Hanover. He was reportedly in violation of an order of protection from a local court.
The Silver Creek native faces two counts of second-degree criminal contempt in that incident. He was remanded to County Jail on bail.
