PORTLAND – New York State Police are asking for the public’s help in the case of a man discovered deceased last month.
Authorities said 47-year-old Brian Heyden was picked up on Route 20 in the Village of Fredonia and traveled west in a white or light colored pickup truck.
Police are calling the death suspicious.
Heyden was found deceased on April 21, 2018 in a wooded area just off RT-20 in the Town of Portland.

That isn’t anything unusual. He was often walking Rte 20 or Rte 60, people knew he was familiar and would give him a ride. Hope if they had seen anything unusual they would have already spoken to the police. Are the police connecting the deaths of this man and the death of the man found in Randolph?
The one in Randolph and Brian are two separate deaths.
The unusual part was that his throat was cut
