GERRY – New York State Police have identified the suspect who was taken into custody following a tense standoff on Saturday.
33 year-old Richard Sendall is facing multiple charges including criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree, assault 2nd degree, unlawful imprisonment 2nd degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say a 31-year-old female reported a domestic violence incident at her Wilson Street residence around 9:30 am.
The woman told troopers that she was held against her will at gunpoint with two young children in the residence.
State Police responded to the address
Sendall was taken peacefully into custody after surrendering.
The young children were located in good health. Loaded firearms were seized from the Sendall residence.
During processing Sendall claimed he was having a medical emergency. Troopers administered aid and he was taken to WCA Hospital for treatment.
Sendall will be arraigned once he is released from Jamestown hospital.
