Traffic Stop Leads To Discovery Of Cocaine, Impaired Driver

JAMESTOWN – A woman is facing several charges, including cocaine possession, following a traffic stop early Tuesday morning. 
Melissa Norrod, 37, Jamestown was pulled over by JPD after she allegedly made an improper left turn onto Washington St., according to a media release.
Authorities determined Norrod was intoxicated while she was operating the vehicle.
In addition to the cocaine seized by officers, Norrod was charged with not having an adequate muffler, improper left turn and DWI.
Norrod appeared in court on Tuesday and was released on the condition of her probation.
She’s scheduled back in court on April 26th at 10:00 am.
