RIPLEY – Authorities are investigating a train vs. car accident that occurred in the wee hours Sunday morning.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said the wreck happened on the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks at the Stanton Rd. Town of Ripley railroad crossing.
The vehicle was unoccupied, according to investigators.
The Westfield Police and Fire Departments, and Ripley Fire Department assisted the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.
Authorities said this is an ongoing investigation.
