Trooper To Be Laid To Rest Monday

SCHENECTADY – A New York State Trooper who was killed in a traffic accident near Albany Tuesday while on his way to work will be laid to rest on Monday.
State Police said Trooper Jeremy Vannostrand was waiting to turn into the Fonda Barracks in the Town of Glen when a box truck rear-ended his car pushing him into oncoming traffic.
His vehicle was then hit by a pickup truck. He died later at the hospital.
The 36-year-old leaves behind a wife and daughter.
Calling hours are Sunday. The funeral will be Monday morning at St. Gabriel the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Schenectady, New York.
