CHERRY CREEK-A massive fire drew around 100 volunteer fire fighters from 14 various companies to the Fire Ravages Trillium Lodge in Cherry Creek Monday evening just before 6 PM.
Cherry Creek Fire Chief Terry Sheldon told WNYNewsNow no injures were reported and no one was inside the structure at the time of the fire.
Sheldon said this is a major loss for the community and everyone is “awfully sad” watching the community staple burn.
Sheldon’s crew was reportedly out tending to weather related calls when they were toned to the lodge, just blocks from their fire station.
The county’s fire investigation team is now on scene investigating the cause of the blaze.
