VIDEO: Fire Rips Through Downtown Arcade Building

JAMESTOWN-A fire at the old Arcade building on N. Main St. summoned multiple fire departments Wednesday.

Jamestown Fire Battalion Chief Andrew Finson told WNYNewsNow crews were dispatched to 21 N. Main St. multiple times over the years for various activities.

“I’m sure somebody probably saw something,” Finson said. “This building is in rough shape.”

Finson said crews arrived shortly before 4:30, and then called for manpower not long after that.

Parts of the structure reportedly collapsed as crews fought the blaze.

Falconer, Fluvanna, Kiantone and Lakewood volunteers assisted city crews in fighting the fire.
