VIDEO: Neighbor Recounts Blaze As Investigators Look Into Cause Of Fatal Fire

UPDATE @ 2:15 PM-Investigators report more information will be released after an autopsy at ECMC in Buffalo.

ELLICOTT-Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fatal fire at 3730 Wilson Hollow Rd. early Saturday morning according to Falconer Fire Chief Charlie Piazza.

Piazza said the house was fully engulfed when he arrived on scene. The deceased man was reportedly discovered by personnel.

A neighbor spoke exclusively with WNYNewsNow shortly after the blaze.

“We were awakened to the smell of smoke first, then the sound of fire trucks speeding up the road, which is unusual on our little road,” said neighbor Jane Young. “More often than not it’s the sound of clip clops from Amish horses. We knew something was not right.”

Young said she knew the man and saw him walking in the area Friday night.

The house was undergoing foreclosure per Young.
