BUSTI – A wanted man allegedly lead officers on a foot pursuit through a wooded area on Riverside Road Monday morning, according to the Lakewood-Busti Police Department.
Officers reportedly observed Ross J. Cali, Jr., 54, entering the driveway of his 3050 Riverside Rd. residence. Cali, Jr. previously had an active felony arrest warrant for a prior incident.
Police say Cali exited the vehicle when an officer approached the vehicle and allegedly ran into the woods. A perimeter was set up, and Lakewood-Busti’s K-9 was dispatched.
K-9 Miro reportedly tracked down Cali very quickly. Cali was charged with obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest.
Cali also faces charges of second-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree menacing. He was arraigned at Town of Busti Court and remanded to county jail on $25,000 cash/$50,000 property bond.
