Work Continues On Flooded Jamestown Police Station

JAMESTOWN – Relief may be on the way for the Jamestown Police Department’s Headquarters that was flooded last year.
City Council passed a resolution Monday night to continue work on the project.
Chief Harry Snellings said projected timelines are tough to trust, but things should get back to normal soon.
“We are still working on getting phase one completed so we can open the doors to the public,” said Snellings. “The entire ceilings are exposed and now its time to address it, adding another layer of isolation to help with heating and cooling of the entire department.”
As of late, most of the Police Department has been working out of a back breakroom and the Emergency Operations Center.
