Cuomo, Molinaro To Face Off In Gubernatorial Debate

NEW YORK – New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo and Marc Molinaro will take part in a debate tonight.
Molinaro, a Republican and current Dutchess County Executive, is challenging Cuomo in the election for Governor of New York.
In recent weeks, it was unclear whether a debate was going to take place.
Currently, the incumbent is far ahead of his challenger in polls of likely voters.
Also running for election is Libertarian Candidate Larry Sharpe, Green Party Candidate Howie Hawkins and Former Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner, but they will not be featured in the debate.
Molinaro has expressed that he wants at least two other debates to take place, one in Buffalo and the other in the Southern Tier.
The one-on-one debate will be taped at WCBS in New York City, and will air on WIVB News 4 at 7 p.m.
Also tonight, Chautauqua County Sheriff Joe Gerace and his challenger Jim Quattrone will debate at Jamestown Community College as part of a League of Women’s Voters forum.
State Assemblyman Andy Goodell and his challenger Judy Einach will also debate.
That starts at 7 p.m. and you can watch it live on our Facebook page.
