Democratic Primary Too Close To Call, Della Pia Holds Narrow Lead Before Absentee Count

N.Y. 23rd CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT – The Democratic Primary race for the US-NY 23rd Congressional District Race is too close to call as of 11:54 PM Tuesday evening.

Max Della Pia, an Owego native, has a 26 vote lead over Tracy Mitrano as all 451 voting areas have reported. The absentee votes, however, still have to be counted.
Linda Andrei is currently third with 15.3% of the vote. Ian Golden is fourth at 13.4%, while Jamestown native Eddie Sundquist is last with 6.4%.
Fourteen votes were deemed blank, according to the NYS Board of Elections, while seven are deemed void. Thirty-four write-ins were recorded.
