ALBANY – A new survey from Siena College claims that two-term incumbent New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has decisive leads over challengers on both sides of the aisle.
Nearly 700 people were surveyed for the latest poll.
Siena College said Cuomo leads among registered Democratic voters, 58 percent to 27 percent.
Tuesday’s poll also gives Cuomo commanding leads over two Republican candidates for governor, Syracuse state Sen. John DeFrancisco and Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, with each receiving 18 percent.
A Siena poll last month found that 66 percent of registered Democratic respondents backed Cuomo, compared to 19 percent for Nixon.
The poll was conducted during a recent four day period from April 8-12 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.3 percentage points.
