JAMESTOWN – Jefferson Middle School recently welcomed families to their annual Family Fall Fest.
The Jefferson Middle School PTA, Jefferson Family and Community Engagement team and the Jefferson After school Advantage program came together to make the event.
“We had a large turn out for the event and everyone was having a good time,” said Carol Smith, Jefferson Middle School Assistant Principal. “The three groups were able to pull resources together, including volunteers, which helped the event run smoothly.”
Events included scavenger hunts and family games like Minute to Win It and Boggle.
To give more information on the Title 1 program families sorted cards into two piles. One describes the school’s responsibility and the other describes the family’s responsibility
Students made many crafts ranging from apple spider snacks, mummy decorated lockers, bookmarks, and pumpkin cookies.
Families also worked together to make 34 fleece cat blankets to donate to the Chautauqua County Humane Society. Families not only had fun at the event, but also gave back to the community.
