JAMESTOWN – Art from across the city will be on display at Jamestown Public School’s annual art show next week.
The gala will feature almost 300 works from kindergarten though 12th grade on Tuesday, May 15th from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Jefferson Middle School gymnasium.
Each piece was hand selected from art teachers across the district.
“The District Art Show wonderfully showcases the artistic talent of every grade level,” said David Mazzone, JPS Art Department Chairman. “For example, you can see portraits done by a first grader alongside a portrait done by a high school senior. We will be exhibiting almost 300 student works, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artistry.”
After the opening reception, the artwork will be on display in the school lobby until June 5th. School officials urge the public to attend.
