School To Take Public Input On Proposed Budget, Election For BOE Members This Month

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will take public input regarding the 2018-19 budget Tuesday, May 8th at 6 p.m. in the Persell Middle School Auditorium.
School officials urge community members to preview the budget on the district’s website before attending the session.
Printed copies of the proposed budget are also available for review in the Superintendent’s office on Martin Road, each JPS School building, or at the James Prendergast Library.
The budget and school board election vote will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from noon to 9 p.m. at Lincoln Elementary School, Jefferson Middle School and Washington Middle School.
City voters will elect two Board of Education members, each to serve three-year terms beginning in July.
The three candidates on the ballot include Brianne Fadale, Daniel Johnson and Nina Karbacka.
