Falconer Swim Team Merges With Jamestown

JAMESTOWN – A merger between Falconer Central School Varsity Boy’s Swim Team and Jamestown Public School Swimmers was voted through Wednesday night.
Jamestown Public School’s Superintendent Dr. Bret Apthorpe said Falconer reached out to the district after fewer students tried out for the team.
“The Jamestown Swim Team is also light on numbers,” said Apthorpe. “Swimming is a very individualized sport and we have the space.”
The Superintendent said his office is working on settling administrative fees so that Falconer students will pay their fair share to become part of the program.
