High School Football Playoffs To Start Tonight

WESTERN NEW YORK –  Teams throughout the region look to continue their championship quest as high school football playoffs for Section VI start tonight. 
West Seneca West, the number one team in the state, will be hosting the Jamestown Red Raiders tonight at 7:00.
The West Indians finished the regular season with a 7-0 record, outscoring their opponents 278-38.
Jamestown finished the regular season with a 4-3 record. In their final two regular season games (both wins), they averaged 55 points per game.
In other playoff action under the lights, the 7-0 Southwestern Trojans will host the merged Gowanda/Pine Valley Panthers.
Southwestern clinched their third consecutive league title last week after winning their final regular season game against the merged Falconer/Cassadaga Valley team, 47-26.
The Panthers finished with a 3-4 regular season record, losing their last regular season game against the Akron Tigers, 33-14.
Kickoff will be at 7:00.
The Falconer/Cassadaga Valley team, who finished the regular season with a 4-3 record, will be on the road tonight at 7:00 against the Wilson Lakemen.
Falconer/Cassadaga Valley are led by seniors Connor Crabtree and Robbie Penhollow.
Running back/linebacker Penhollow finished the regular season with 1,031 rush yards and 15 touchdowns, 22 receptions for 431 yards and three touchdowns, and a team-leading 101 tackles and two interceptions on defense.
Crabtree finished the season going 42-68 passing for 717 yards and six touchdowns while adding 512 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Wilson finished its regular season with a five game winning-streak, outscoring their opponents 153-62 in the process.
In other action, the 7-0 Clymer/Sherman/Panama Wolfpack, who are averaging more than 42 points per game, and more than 399 yards of offense per game, will be on the road against the Cattaraugus-Little Valley Timberwolves for their final regular season game.
Wolfpack junior quarterback, Gerrit Hinsdale, has completed 75-112 passes for 1,044 yards, and 14 touchdowns.
Junior wide receiver/cornerback, Cameron Barmore, has been Hinsdale’s favorite target, catching 24 passes for 470 yards, and six touchdowns, while adding 22 tackles and one interception on defense.
Senior running back/linebacker, Michael Beatman, has rushed for  539 yards on 56 attempts and seven touchdowns, while adding eight receptions for 107 yards, and one touchdown. On defense, Beatman has a team-leading 45 tackles, and two interceptions.
Kickoff for this game will be at 7:00.
