Lots Of Action Expected Friday Night As High Schools Take To The Gridiron

A number of high school football teams look to remain undefeated, while others will attempt to spoil the fun under the lights Friday night. 
Tonight at 7 p.m., the 6-0 Southwestern Trojans go on the road to play against the 4-2 Falconer/Cassadaga Valley merged team.
Senior quarterback Connor Crabtree continues to be a versatile dual-threat quarterback for Falconer/Cassadaga Valley. Crabtree has completed 30-50 passes for 501 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for 470 yards and five touchdowns.
Senior running back/linebacker Robbie Penhollow has been a force to be reckoned with and is a player Southwestern definitely needs to stop.
Penhollow has rushed for 887 yards and 13 touchdowns while also catching 16 receptions for 287 yards and two touchdowns. Penhollow also leads the team with 82 tackles on defense and has also intercepted two passes.
In other high school football action, the 6-0 Clymer/Sherman/Panama Wolfpack look to defeat the 3-3 Salamanca Warriors during the Wolfpack’s homecoming game Saturday at 1:30.
Junior quarterback Gerrit Hinsdale leads the Wolfpack offense which has produced more than 43 points and more than 425 yards of offense per game. Hinsdale has gone 61-90 passing this season for 881 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Senior running back/linebacker Michael Beatman has shown consistency on both sides of the ball all year for the Wolfpack. Beatman has rushed for 491 yards on 48 carries and seven touchdowns while also being tied for the team led with 39 tackles.
Junior wide receiver/cornerback Cameron Barmore has been Hinsdale’s favorite receiver to go to. Barmore is tied for the team led with 16 receptions for 342 yards and three touchdowns while also recording 20 tackles and one interception on defense.
Saturday action includes the 4-3 Jamestown Red Raiders going on the road against the 4-2 McKinley Macks.
The Red Raiders are led by multi-faceted senior running back Francisco Rodriguez. Rodriguez is second on the team in rushing with 284 yards and four touchdowns and is also second in receiving with 98 yards and one touchdown.
Senior running back/linebacker Peyton Olson has been a good support system for the Red Raiders. On offense, Olson leads the team in rushing with 296 yards and one touchdown. Olson also leads the team with 52 tackles.
