The Academic All-District Teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. Maycock is one of eight student-athletes selected to the NCAA Division I District 1 team which included nominees from New York, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Maycock makes the Bonnies one of three Atlantic 10 schools with an honoree, joining Dayton and Saint Louis.
On the court, Maycock has had another breakout season by again showing marked improvement year-to-year. She has averaged 11.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while ranking among the Atlantic 10’s leaders in both field goal percentage (45.7 percent) and three-point percentage (45.1 percent) while leading the team in rebounding.
She was out of action for nearly a month due to an injury suffered in December, but registered four 20-point games in the first 10 contests of the season. After returning from injury, she has posted double figures in six of eight games played.
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first, second and third team All-America honorees will be selected later this month. The teams are voted on by sports information directors across the nation.
