Sabres Prepare To Start Taxing Stretch

BUFFALO – With the Buffalo Sabres snapping their five-game losing streak, they will begin a six-game stretch over the next 10 days. 

The Sabres will be hosting the Arizona Coyotes Thursday night before going on the road for two games in back-to-back days. 

Buffalo’s first road game during this stretch will be against the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals on Saturday night, then the Sabres will play against the Boston Bruins on Sunday. 

Buffalo will return home to host the Florida Panthers next Tuesday. On Dec. 21, the Sabres will take on the Capitals again on the road, then they will return home to host the Anaheim Ducks on Dec. 22. 

Team captain Jack Eichel leads Buffalo in scoring with 38 points, scoring 10 goals and a team-high 28 assists. 

Jeff Skinner is second on the team with 31 points, scoring a team-leading 21 goals, and 10 assists. 

Starting goaltender Carter Hutton has posted a 12-8-1 record in between the pipes so far this season. Hutton has allowed 2.6 goals per game and has a .917 save percentage. 

Back-up Linus Ullmark has also seen time on goal. Ullmark is 6-1-3 when given the starting nod as goaltender. Ullmark has allowed 3.03 goals per game, and has a save percentage of .912. 

The Sabres are currently in third place in the Atlantic Division with 40 points, two points ahead of the Bruins.
