Developer Purchases Forum Building; Announces Purchase Of Prendergast Art

JAMESTOWN – A Maryland developer tells WNYNewsNow that he has purchased the Forum Building at 201 North Main St. and that he’s also purchased paintings that belonged to the Jamestown Prendergast Library.
“It’s a go,” Duke told us when reached by Facebook Messenger.
Duke is hosting a party where he will reveal the paintings, the world’s most expensive police badge, movie star jewelry, gems, and jewels.
In December of 2017, Duke purchased the Key Bank Building and hosted a free party for members of the community. That building is directly across the street from where the Forum Building is located.
“I’ve never met a community that has as many sincere and genuine people in it, (as much as Jamestown),” Duke said. “The people here have a really strong vision; they just need a little bit of help from someone from the outside.”
The party will start at 6:00 pm on Friday.
Duke will host a separate event for the general public from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday.

  1. What is the building to become? Hopefully something that benefits the town and not just downtown.
