Falconer Students Dig Aqueducts In Dominican Republic

FALCONER-A group of High School age students at Falconer Central School  traveled to Central America earlier this week to dig aqueducts for mountain villages.

Key Club Adviser Mary Plumb told WNYNewsNow in late June that students can expect a life-changing experience.

Working in shifts from noon Sunday to 3PM Monday the ladies dug a 276-foot ditch using shovels and pick axes. They’ve prepared and placed pipe and connected it to a nearby house.

When they finish their work, they will bring fresh water to 52 families or a total of 400 people.
